After running dselect and trying to upgrade all my old hamm packages including libc6, nothing works now it seems the libc6 package is corrupted or something, i've tried to mount the file system and run dpkg -i --root=/mnt --admindir=/mnt/var/lib libc6xxx.deb but it complains about preinstall and postinstall scripts ( -- not found --). SCSI Adaptec AHA 1520B/1522B ISA (iomega jaz jet) Trouble.
Hi, at the bottom is my var/adm/messages file. The problem is this: When i boot to get the adapter recognized i have to append aha152x=0x340,11,7,1. The card is recognized and also the jaz drive. But no partition is reported and a scsi: detected total. is displayed. /proc reports both the adapter and the jaz drive but when i try to access the jaz disk (/dev/sda) or partition (/dev/sda4) i get a coud not open device /dev/sda or something like that. And after that all the entries in /proc disapear. Any suggestion would be wellcomed. Chao. __ Felipe Alvarez Harnecker [EMAIL PROTECTED] Compañia de Telecomunicaciones de Chile. IP Masquerading
Hi, i could not get IP Masquerading work. I got two linux machines in a network with more machines. I've set up one machine as a Firewall for masquerading the other one but it seems that only one packet passes through the firewall. In the firewall i've done #ipfwadm -F -p deny #ipfwadm -F -a m -S xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/32 -D 0.0.0.0/0 and in the client machine i've set up the gateway pointing to de firewall machine. DSelect SUGESTION
Hi Debian Project. It would be very cool if one could search not only by package name but for package description. Maybe Dselect already does that but i didn't found any hint. Deskpro 2000 + TokenLink + AHA 2940
Hi folks. When I put only one card (i,e TokenLink or AHA but not both ) i got the card working Ok. With both im getting this error : tr0: Unknown command FF encountered. tr0: Unknown command 01 in arb. tr0: Unknown command 01 in arb. tr0: Unknown command 01 in arb. tr0: Unknown command 01 in arb. . . . even if i don't load the scsi driver. It seems to me a pure hardware conflict but i isn't neither IRQ or Base Adreess problem. ( I saw /proc ) There is a ROM I/O Base Address selectable from C to DE000. I've played with it without any success. Printing Guru question.
Hi folks. I'm running linux but our printer a HP LaserJet 4p connected directly to the net trough a JetDirect ExPlus3 is atached to a Novell Print Queue. Reading the Printing-HOWTO i saw that it is easy to print to that kind of printers because they seem to be running an lpd. Here is my question: Can i send print jobs directly to the printer without conflict with the NOVELL print Queue???
