mutt mark tagged as read?
Hi! I am using mutt as my prefered mail reader, and sometimes I just don't want to read all the mail, so I just check the headers and mark them as read. Is there a way to tag all the wanted messages and than mark them all as read? (I know how to tag, but marking all the tagged messages as read part somehow does not work for me :/). Can someone help me with this please. THX in advance! module licence problems with pcmcia
Hi! I have a minor cosmetic problem with pcmcia modules built from pcmcia-cs source (debian package named pcmcia-source). Whenever I load the pcmcia modules (or whenever they are automatically loaded) I get this error: Warning: loading /lib/modules/2.4.16-grsec-1.9-spiritus/pcmcia/ds.o will taint the kernel: no license Is there a way to do it right, so this warning would not be displayed any more? Linux kernel bug report?
Hi! I have just discovered that APM in kernel 2.4.10 does not work (/proc/apm file does not get created and consequentially apm progs do not work). Can someone else confirm this? And where can a bug report about this kind of bug be sent? (this is not a Debian kernel but a vanilla one from ftp.kernel.org). THX in advance! Reinstall a package
Hi! I have lost several files due to an fs inconsistency on ext2 fs, I would therefore like to just reinstall certain packages, to replace the lost files. Is there an easy was how this can be done? I checked the dpkg man page and did not find anything like reinstall. THX in advance! big problem
Hi! I am running debian unstabe on a couple of my machines. I have run apt-get update and apt-get upgrade yesterday, and on two machines it ran perfectly, but the third machine which is a server on LAN which had an 32 days of uptime crashed with kernel panic caused by dpkg... so I rebooted (kernel 2.4.5). The fs is reiserfs so the disk check was ok, but after reboot dpkg/apt dont work any more... it just starts the process and hangs there for ever... I stopped the process with ctrl+c and than ran it again, it said to do dpkg --configure -a, but that also failed (countinues infinatelly). Could someone please help me fix this, I really wouldn't like to reinstall the whole system, since apt/dpkg arent usable anymore :/ THX in advance! pstree problem on woody
Hi! Has anyone's pstree command stopped working when upgrading from potato to woody (and to kernel 2.4.x). I have two systems - one is debian woody and other debian sid. On sid pstree runs just fine, but on woody pstree gives absolutely no output, not even an error. Both systems are running on reiser and kernel 2.4.3. Does anyone know anything I could do to make pstree work (I even compied the .deb package from unstable's source version 20.1), but still the same problem. THX in advance!
