The idea which came to my mind some time ago was to establish a marketplace where "geeks" meet "normal" users. You invented the mailing list? That' s not what I meant. By the term "normal" user I am thinking of someone who sees some advantages of using a computer but does not want to make his living out of it. Therefore that person maybe is willing to spend some of his wage to the other person who loves computers and therefore will solve tasks somewhat faster than others. And one last point: Think as well of small companies as customers rather than of yourself who of course is embedded in a network of friends who know a lot about IT to. This kind of idea has been pitched before and largely rejected as: 1) Redundant. We already have mailing lists, as well as consultants to do this already. 2) Stupid. Who would be willing to sit through that many RTFM questions all day every day to make such an idea actually work?
