Hi Matheson,
I just upgraded to Woody, so I was compiling the 2.4.2
kernel. When I type make bzlilo It gives me the
following error:
bbootsect.s: Assembler messages:
bbootsect.s:253: Warning: indirect lcall without '*'
ld -m elf_i386 -Ttext 0x0 -s -oformat binary
bbootsect.o -o bbootsect
ld: cannot open binary: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [bbootsect] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory
'/usr/src/linux-2.4.2/arch/i386/boot'
make: *** [bzImage] Error 2
I think when I upgraded it said something about
-oformat being --oformat now? Is that what's wrong?
How do I fix this?
...just go in your kernel-source directory and edit the Makefile and
change as mentioned before. then try to recompile again :-)
regards
joris
