  for ripping Audio-CDs, I would recommend rubyripper+lame(for mp3 
enconding).

K3B can (or it could last time I tried) make an Audio CD from MP3s. Just
tell it the tracks are your MP3s and it'll decode them as it burns.

If you want to create an "MP3 CD", though, I believe that's simply a
Data CD with MP3 files in the root directory.

Do you want to burn mp3s from your computer to a cd or rip songs from a cd  
to mp3s?

If you want to make a CD, Brasero has this option.
If you want to rip songs from a cd, look into sound-juicer.
