No, but it's what they write on the box. On mine, it's part of the
sticker with Free Internet Connection Kit Inside on it, so I
suppose some of the boxes needed PnP and they carelessly doubled
it up on the same label.

External Serial Modem in Debian

Hey everybody,

Thanks for all the help you guys have given me.  I now have my linux working
good, with WordPerfect 8.  I still don't have my modem working, and I am
clueless.  It's an external PnP 3Com 33.6 Sportser.  Is it possible to get
external PnP modems working?  I'm using Debian 2.1 Slink.

Hey,

Thanks for the help.  I had tried pppconfig before, but I had the com port
wrong (I had it set on 3, it should have been 2) and I couldn't remeber the
command to fix it.
