Gotta be a Window Manager thing.  I don't think GNOME messes with the
mouse icons in any way.  I think sawfish (aka sawmill) will use the
square with a dot in the middle when the mouse is positioned over the
window close "button" on the titlebar.  Did your mouse work fine before?

Hi all,

I have installed Gnome over Debian. Everything goes ok, but the mouse icon: 
there is
no mouse icon. Instead, there is a blank square, without any arrow.

Any clue?
