Search the list archives on lists.debian.org.  This has come up at least
half a dozen times in the last month.

I'm getting the following error sequence:

E: Error occured while processing eboard-extras-pack1 (NewFileVer1)
E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/dpkg/status
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.

What should I do to correct this?
