Installing Alsa Drivers
I'm trying to install the alsa drivers for my yamaha sound card. when I input ./configure I get this error message: ... checking for working const... yes checking for inline... inline checking whether time.h and sys/time.h may both be included... yes checking whether gcc needs -traditional... no checking for directory with kernel source... /usr/src/linux checking for kernel version... expr: syntax error expr: syntax error expr: syntax error failed (probably missing /usr/src/linux/include/linux/version.h) debian:/home/dlm/tmp/alsa-driver-0.5.8b# What does this mean and what do I do to fix it? You mean make-kpkg clean make-kpkg --revision=yourhostname.1.0 kernel_image ? -- Andrew
Problem while installing alsa drivers (next)
re :) Well situation isn't seems to be as dramatic as i think. Sb_init command seems to work properly, it will say that my card is detected corectly... The problem seems to be when card need to be located, I'm not sure to have corectly configure isapnp.conf '(IO x (Base))' command, i want my card to be located at 0x220 or 0x240 adress.
