Well sorry for this OT question .. well i have a 100mbps LAN with utp cable & 100mbps switch hubs .. connecting about 60 + pc together. there are all flavours of O/S running Linux , Windows & Unix . the name resolution is done by DNS . there is a local webserver Apache running that provides media files to clients as downloads . the Issue is that the download speed i get on my local lan is ranging from 400kbps to 1.5 mbps both in normal & rush hour. Is this normal ? or not ? i asked this same question on a Windows newsgroup but they werent able to help me .. can you ?
