Re: Playing with "apt-listchanges"
Hum... I see what it seems to be a configuration file for this under "/ etc/apt/listchanges.conf" so I edited the "frontend" variable to "mail" instead "pager" and that should be all. Thanks! Greetings, Hi, don't you get your "apt-listchanges: news for your_box_name" when you start mutt? I'm not mutt user at all (I want to say it's not configured by my) I accidentally discovered that when I first time opened mutt to see how it looks. Other way is to create in Iceape mail, Icedove and probably other mail clients "Unix Mailspool (Movemail)". You can do that the same way like another account, it will be in the first window option. -- Bye, Goran Dobosevic Hrvatski: www.dobosevic.com English: www.dobosevic.com/en/ Registered Linux User #503414 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Instead of editing the config file by hand it is also possible to: # dpkg-reconfigure apt-listchanges regards, -- bye Thilo 4096R/0xC70B1A8F 721B 1BA0 095C 1ABA 3FC6 7C18 89A4 A2A0 C70B 1A8F -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Playing with "apt-listchanges"
Hello, I would like to configure apt-listchanges in a more convenient manner that is currently now setup. 1/ Is it possible to tell it to do not display the messages when performing the update? I know those messages are important but I would prefer to read them later, when I have enough time and not in the middle of an update where connection can be suddenly dropped or something can happen. I'm using "apt" to update wheezy. 2/ In connection with the above, is there any way to tell apt-listchanges something like: "hey, I want to read all of the last 50 messages" without needing to pass the exact parameters to extract the information of each package?
