This edit will fix your problem:
root:/etc/kde3/kdm# diff Xservers Xservers.20041211
13c13
< :0 [EMAIL PROTECTED] /usr/X11R6/bin/X -nolisten tcp -dpi 100

Kde is misdetecting the dpi of your monitor. Override
autodetection by adding-dpi 100.

Subject: Extremely small fonts

Hello,I'm pretty new to Debian / Linux. I'm usingDebian-Sarge (stable) release along with X-window &KDE. When I powered up my PC today, the fonts in allthe X-windows were so small to the point ofunreadable. However, the icons and other graphicswere not affected. Fortunately, I'm able to get intoa shell, so I can do some modifications. But, cananyone tell me what file controls the fonts for X?BTW -- I don't know what caused this. The only thingI can think of is that I changed the environment toturn on Num Lock when entering KDE. After that I shutdown the system.Thanks,-- Matt __ Yahoo! Do you use KDM?

If using KDM, it may cause that problem.

You can change font size in KDE Control Center.
