... you could also use the following commands instead of editing all the
files:
yourputer@ hostname [type hostname]
yourputer@ ifconfig eth0 [your ip] netmask [type netmask] broadcast [type
brdcst add.]
... I'm not familiar with a command to change your nameservers (I'm sure
there wld be one though), so you'll probably need to manually edit
/etc/resolv.conf to change those (if necessary).
