It is available from Debian repos, uses nftables, and looks to be well
documented. So far, it has worked well. I haven't had a machine using
firewalld out in the wilds of the Internet.

The down side is that there is a lot to it, and hence a learning curve.
But it appears I don't have to learn nftables, also a major plus.

I also have been looking for a replacement for Shorewall, I came across
a new firewall named Foomuuri [1].

Is there any reason why you favored Firewalled?
