Thank you very much for this hint. It is not for the faint of the heart,
as the package description says, but it is surely a good thing to have
in mind when you are tight on space.

thank you all for great hints/ideas. There seems to be a plenty of good
tools for debian to cope with such problems.

I my case it seems there are no big packages that can be deleted to free
space, but I have found some unpartitioned space on my hard drive.
