Actually, as I was using a new floppy (already formated, and bug free --
so they say), I haven't done the low level format. More: I've tried with
more then one set of disks...

You were right: the root.img floppy had errors. It was just a question
of formatting the disks to guarantee they were bug free, and now The
installation is already running :-D

I assume this is after it's read data from the floppy or something. Your
description of the problem is not very clear.

You could try passing the debian-installer/framebuffer=false boot
parameter.

what exactly did you do ??

did you use fdformat or superformat ??
- if not, that is why your *.img files doesnt work
