Just like apt is indicating, you need version 1.3.9 of apache, not
1.3.12-something. So if you want to run apache-1.3.12, you'll have to
recompile php4 as well.

Thanks for info.  (I was trying to avoid that route :(

Now -- anyone know who the maintainer of PHP4 is?
