Most likely report it against whichever desktop environment you are using.

If you are using MATE and are running a pre-release version of Stretch 
you should do a "apt-get update", "apt-get upgrade", "apt-get 
dist-upgrade" sequence. A bug fitting that description was recently fixed.

Since this is unrelated to software defects, and you already contacted
the list anyway, just report it here and one of us will file a full bug
report if necessary.
