Re: Setting up a printer
When asking a question like this it's important to specify which environment you're using, for example KDE, gnome, or other. For KDE click K -> Settings -> Printing Manager -> Add -> Add Printer/Class or K -> Run Command... -> Command -> kcmshell printmgr Print Manager is in the package kdeprint. And in the cups configuration (/etc/cups/cupsd.conf) make sure you've got the right Allow/Deny rules for the /admin directory. Setting up a printer.
Hi, I'm not capable to get my printer work under Debian sarge. I have installed cups, I've read the docs in linuxprinting.org and all. If I go to http://localhost:631/admin, the browser says that the connection is refused and I don't understand why. The printer is an HP Deskjet 820c and is supported since I have downloaded the ppd file from linuxprinting. Any tips? Thanks in advance, Jordi ___ Yahoo!
