Hi, it seems so, that you are not allown with this problem: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=496814 On the other side i have seen. that you are using two different versions of xserver ii xserver-common 2:1.6.3-1 ii xserver-xorg 1:7.4+4 _ ii xserver-xorg-core2:1.6.3-1 !+b1! - By my thinking about the mouse I mean the right one of xserver-xorg-input-?? best regards and a nice day klaus Am Donnerstag, den 17.09.2009, 20:35 +0200 schrieb aux: On Jueves 17 Septiembre 2009 19:38:11 Klaus Wolf escribió: Hi, sorry, but I have an intel DG45FC Mainboard with onboard Graphic, This works well. Re: X server hangs in Debian squeeze after upgrade
Hi! SAME problem here. I have an nvidia card (TNT2) using nv driver because the nvidia propietary driver stopped working after xorg update (nvidia stopped suporting legacy 71.86 drivers). Same problem using vesa driver. I've updated the KDE4 packages first without problems (no crash), and one day after that I've updated xorg packages and started to suffer this problem (but it could have been chance). The problem happens basically in the same situations that aux describes: when i move a window, visit a web or sometime when i move the mouse.. Dont know how to reproduce the problem... It seems to be a random problem to me (of course it cant be random, but I cant reproduce it deliberately). The backtrace is almost always EXACTLY the same that aux posted. Only ONCE, I've got a difference: Backtrace: 0: /usr/bin/X(xorg_backtrace+0x3b) [0x81314bb] 1: /usr/bin/X(xf86SigHandler+0x51) [0x80c1c61] 2: [0xe420] 3: [0xe420] 4: /usr/bin/X(miRegionCopy+0x24) [0x811e134] 5: /usr/bin/X [0x8122602] 6: /usr/bin/X [0x81220c9] 7: /usr/bin/X [0x81220c9] 8: /usr/bin/X [0x81220c9] 9: /usr/bin/X [0x81220c9] 10: /usr/bin/X [0x81220c9] 11: /usr/bin/X [0x81220c9] 12: /usr/bin/X [0x81220c9] 13: /usr/bin/X(miValidateTree+0x1ba) [0x812282a] 14: /usr/bin/X(miMoveWindow+0x1f1) [0x8128d41] 15: /usr/bin/X(ConfigureWindow+0x533) [0x8077d33] 16: /usr/bin/X(ProcConfigureWindow+0x92) [0x808bd52] 17: /usr/bin/X(Dispatch+0x33f) [0x808c79f] 18: /usr/bin/X(main+0x3aa) [0x8071ada] 19: /lib/i686/cmov/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xe5) [0xb7bd67a5] 20: /usr/bin/X [0x8070fa1] The xorg, and xserver packages version are the same that aux posted. I make a dpkg -l every day (in a cron), so I can show wich packages changed the day the problem started, if this can help. I see no relation with bug 474504 suggested by Klaus Wolf. thanks!! -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Re: X server hangs in Debian squeeze after upgrade
Hallo, on Sunday I had the same problem after update and I wrote to list. The updates of Squeeze (In a mistake I thought about Lenny) on this day did remove all xorg packages from installation. After that I did reinstall the xserver-packages and all runs well. I think, it was a libmesa???-Package that does this mistake. Perhaps this information will help you.
