Re: cannot startup pidgin after dist-upgrade
I have the same issue and i do not have totem. I've updated to kernel 2.6.29, problem persists. There's no core dump i can find. Should i sent gdb's output to the pidgin folks? This only happens in amd64, i have a laptop with 2.6.29 x86 that runs pidgin 2.5.5 without issues - although that laptop is a fresh install and never had anything gnome. Should o echo to debian-amd64 instead? I've ran deborphan and debfoster and i do have the file mentioned in totem's bug report. However, i can't find what - if any - packages still might depend on it. (And the search terms are too broad...) Any suggestions?
