I tried and lynx asked me to accept four cookies, which I did, but upon
acceptance of The Fourth Cookie (sounds like a title for one of those
Hollywood thrillers involving the machinations of an ancient satanic
cult) it hangs indefinitely, and perhaps forever, whichever comes first.

But no! Dastardly and devilish deeds! lynx, though suspended for five
minutes in the cybervoid, finally did arrive at destination, i.e. the
log in page, as I was typing this very missive.

So, I would say not an issue of compatibility, but perhaps one of the simple
virtue called patience?

It works with Testing but not with squeeze.

I just tried lynx version 2.8.8dev.5-1 from Squeeze and I was able to
log in okay. But not being a regular user I don't know if there is
some feature that isn't working. It seemed to work okay for me. In
what way is it failing for you? Perhaps it was a transient problem?

Also if you are having problems with lynx then you might also try w3m,
links and elinks as alternative text browsers.

Probably more about Lynx knowing FB is *evil* and thus refusing to
connect ;)

In other words, it fails on me too. A cookie issue? I don't know.
