Pycentral can only create the necessary symlinks to the files in /usr/share/pyshared/axiom/benchmarks/ if you remove these local files first or if you set overwrite-local in /etc/python/debian_config. Do you get the same error? What about if you try using aptitude instead of apt-get, it is sometimes smarter then apt-get. If none of these help then state what version your using (stable, testing, unstable, experimental).
