Almost certainly the rescue disk is shot. Download a fresh copy, and write
it to a new floppy.

error with rescue disk

1999-02-03 Thread Aaron Walker
hello,

When I try to boot the rescue disk (to install debian 2.0),
I get the following errors.

Partition check:
  hda: hda1 hda2 < hda5 >
RAMDISK: Compressed image found at block 0
crc errorVFS: Mounted root (minix filesystem).
init: error in loading shared libraries
libnewt.so.0.21: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
directory

Then it just sits there. It doesn't freeze (I can still do shift-page
up/down).
Anyone know what the problem is?

Thanks,
Aaron Walker
