getifaddrs: Connection refused

Hi,

Both ethereal and tcpdump are giving me this error, and I'm not
finding much on google about it.

sbdcid222:~# tcpdump
tcpdump: getifaddrs: Connection refused

I also get this error upon starting Ethereal.

Anyone know what the problem might be?
