I tried installing that from an iso for accessibility and noticed the boot 
up sounds are not four different musical notes any longer.  There are 
several of them and hitting q followed by modprobe speakup_soft enter 
followed by espeakup enter did not enable any screen reader on the sound 
card this time.  I have a little more to try with this distro before 
writing it off as a total loss though.  I need to try quitting out of 
splash screen menu on some of those earlier beeps and see if I can then

just released Grml 2013.09

Hi All,

To have a new boot-entry with grml:

put grml64-full_2013.09.iso (or another one, see below) in
the /boot/grml directory

sudo apt-get install grml-rescueboot

sudo update-grub

get the iso at: http://grml.org/download/
