Yes, Debian has a port to Macintosh-style hardware. Have a look at
http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/m68k/install>. You might find
the disk space a little limiting, but you should be able to fit in a
small installation (the minimum quoted in the installation manual is
64Mb, with 300Mb for a "reasonable amount of software").
