Plugin-container was introduced with Firefox 3.6.4, released in June
2010, so ten years is a slight exaggeration. And it can be only as
stable as the plugins it runs. Blame Adobe.

Before its introduction, the same CPU usage was reported for the Firefox
process. The change only makes it (partly) visible who is to blame.

I would suggest that ten years of high CPU usage is quite stable. Or, to
coin a phrase, You keep using that word. I do not think it means what
you think it means.
