reset mysql password

I accidently lost it... :( regards, r.a./ take a look @ your /etc/mysql/my.cnf file. there should be a username and randomy generated password specified there that is used by debian package system to upgrade mysql. I forget what type of permissions it has, but you could try logging in as that user and attempting to set the password for the root account.
