Check the debian package database by searching the debian website or
equivalent for these dependencies. You may be in the situation that the
dependencies are in unstable and your package was moved into testing,
though I thought all parts had to be cleared before something like this
went into testing. If you find the packages in unstable you can
download and install or something similar to resolve your dependency
issues. If the packages do not exists anywhere in testing or unstable
go and file the bug report like suggested.

rmagic and woody

2001-08-24 Thread Brian Schramm
I am using analog and rmagic to run web stats here. I just upgraded to
woody from potato. Now I cannot get rmagic to install. Here is the
error I get:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/bin# apt-get install rmagic
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
rmagic: Depends: libgd-perl (>= 1.27) but 1.18-2.1 is to be installed
Depends: libgd-graph-perl (>= 1.24) but it is not going to be
installed
Depends: libgd-graph3d-perl (>= 0.40) but it is not going to
be installed
E: Sorry, broken packages

How do I fix this?

Thanks.
