Dear folks, I did a fussier upgrade from Lenny to Squeeze this time. It went pretty well but there was a bit of a grumble when I reinstalled udev after putting in the new kernel.
I didn't trap the error in the script command properly.... But I did find some udev grumbles in the daemon.log file after rebooting and finishing the upgrade to Squeeze off e.g. Feb 11 11:13:11 Vigor20 udevd[792]: add_to_rules: unknown key 'TAG' in /lib/udev/rules.d/70-acl.rules:81 Feb 11 11:13:19 Vigor20 dbus-daemon: Reloaded configuration Feb 11 11:13:43 Vigor20 udevd[792]: add_to_rules: unknown key 'SYMLINK{unique}' in /lib/udev/rules.d/50-udev-default.rules:1 Feb 11 11:13:43 Vigor20 udevd[792]: add_to_rules: unknown key 'SYMLINK{unique}' in /lib/udev/rules.d/50-udev-default.rules:2 Feb 11 11:13:43 Vigor20 udevd[792]: add_to_rules: unknown key 'TAG' in /lib/udev/rules.d/61-gnome-bluetooth-rfkill.rules:9 Feb 11 11:13:43 Vigor20 udevd[792]: add_to_rules: unknown key 'TAG' in /lib/udev/rules.d/70-acl.rules:81 Feb 11 11:13:43 Vigor20 udevd[26186]: specified group 'fuse' unknown Feb 11 11:13:43 Vigor20 udevd[26186]: specified user 'usbmux' unknown Feb 11 11:13:43 Vigor20 udevd[26186]: SYSFS{}= will be removed in a future udev version, please use ATTR{}= to match the event device, or ATTRS{}= to match a parent device, in / etc/udev/rules.d/z60_libsane.rules:33 I think I should have deselected the sane packages or something like that before upgrading....... Comments welcome. Beyond this the upgrade went OK. Regards Michael Fothergill -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
