That tells us that the problem probably isn't related to mplayer at all (at least not in any generic sense). Maybe some sort of file corruption during download, or a thing related to the op's specific set up. Thank you. For http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyovCNUDvpU&list=PLDE211ADDDB800FD2 why when I download it with clive -f best then listen via mplayer, I hear crackles like my headphones can't handle the beats.
