Sabeu si per pròximes versions de Debian s'està plantejant de posar un
entorn d'escriptori diferent a Gnome? de moment ja veig que en les isos de
instal·lació ja et permet escollir quin entorn gràfic instal·lar
(desconeixo si abans també ho fèien), però m'acaben d'ensenyar un entorn
que es diu mate, que no té cap mala pinta..

Fans of the MATE desktop environment, which is a fork of Gnome 2, will be happy
to know that MATE is scheduled to be included in the official Debian
repositories. Early 2012, it was requested that MATE be included in said
repositories, and almost 2 years later, it appears we’re almost there.
