Impossible de lancer startx

Bonjour,

Voilà j'ai installer une Woody sur une machine, quel bonheur :)
Mais j'ai aussi besoin de temps en temps de X, mais si je lance
startx j'ai ceci:

Que dois-je faire ?

As-tu fais la config de ton serveur X? (X --configure)
a premiere vue, il ne peut choisir de définition par défaut (800x600, ...)



Si je fait X -configure voilà ce que j'obtiens:

Comme la carte a l'air bien détectée (d'après le premier log du
lancement de startx), le problème doit probablement venir de la
configuration de ton écran. Quand tu fais un dpkg-reconfigure
xserver-xfree86, quelles valeurs indiques-tu ? (Ou fournis la section
du fichier XF86Config-4 correspondante)


Oui la carte à l'air de bien passé, je ne suis moins sur
pour l'Ecran ou la souris

Je croyais que tu utilisais le pilote r128 ? Ce pilote semble être
prévu pour les anciennes ATI (avant les r128) d'après

Tu as bien utilisé dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 pour configure
X11 ?

Tu peux peut-être essayer de modifier ces fréquences au fur et à
mesure de tes tests avec dpkg-reconfigure pour voir si les résultats
sont modifiés. Mais à mon avis, le plus douteux est le Driver
ati ... Ce pilote n'est d'ailleurs listé dans le log du serveur
XFree que tu nous a donné quelques messages auparavant.
