Je viens de nouveau de pouvoir démarer ma debian dans une bonne 
configuration qui permet de travailler :)
Le bon conseil m'a été donné sur la liste Mandrake Débutant par un 
Mandrakeux qui est passé à Debian. Il faut mettre dans le BIOS "PNP os : 
YES".

Je suis passé en commentant dans les deux car hotplug n'a pas suffit.
Pour le moment tout semble OK. Si se n'est le même gag qu'avant : 101%
d'espace disponible sur la clef USB d'après df ! Ceci dit, avec
Mandrake, df ne donne aucune info sur les clef usb même quand elles sont

Je viens de faire d'autres essais. En commentant les lignes avec mount
dans /etc/hotplug/usb.rc, ça boote, mais je n'ai pas la souris (elle est
USB). Après avoir booté, j'ai décommenté ces lignes et j'ai vu que les
fichiers
/etc/dev.d/default/10-hal.dev et /etc/hotplug.d/default/20-hal.hotplug
s'exécutaient régulièreemnt mais ne s'arrêtaient jamais !
