Was mache ich falsch?
habe hier eine normale sarge installation und hatte genau das gleiche
problem, es lag aber an den falschen parameter für den screen (obwohl
es eigenlich hätte gehen müsssen).
bildschrim (CRT) war am anschluss 2 (beim digitalanschluss und adapter
bekam ich nie ein X-bild raus).
inzwischen habe ich einen TFT der am digitalanschluss hängt, ich musste
nicht mal die XF86Config-4 ändern.
ich hab mal via knoppix gebootet und von dort die modelines geklaut.
hier meine, vielleicht hilfts (1280x1024, 16bit, @75hz):
