mir ist gestern aufgefallen, dass ein SSH-Login-Versuch mit falschem
Passwort bei Putty (Win) sich bei Sarge anderst verhält als Woody.
Wenn ich bei Woody einen Login-Versuch mache (falsches PW), dann werde
ich nochmal nach dem PW gefragt und es erscheint folgender Eintrag im
auth.log:
Nov 26 10:18:39 server1 PAM_unix[6040]: authentication failure;
(uid=0) - root for ssh service Nov 26 10:18:41 server1 sshd[6040]:
Failed password for root from x.x.x.x port 1453 ssh2
Bei Sarge ist das irgendwie nicht mehr so, wenn ich hier ein falsches
PW eingebe, schließt sich mein Putty automatisch ohne Meldung, ohne
alles. Im auth.log steht dann folgendes:
Nov 26 10:18:48 server2 sshd[18878]: (pam_unix) authentication
failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty=ssh ruser= rhost=x.x.x.x user=root
Nov 26 10:18:50 server2 sshd[18875]: error: PAM: Authentication
failure for root from x.x.x.x
Ist das normal und auch so gewollt? Oder ist das nur ne Konfig-Sache?
Sieht für mich aus, als ob bei Sarge PAM in der sshd_config aktiviert
ist, bei Woody nicht.
