a kartami SD miałem podobnie, kontroler nie mogąć dogadać się z
układami flash karty (padły) w taki dość inteligentny sposób dawał o
tym znać. wg mnie jedyne co to próba podłączenia układu flash do
jakiegoś programatora i zobaczenie czy coś sensownego zwróci.

Dzień dobry.

Przypuszczam że fdisk i testdisk nie widzą "SONY_WALKMAN" dlatego ,że
jest on traktowany jako urządzenie a nie dysk.

Sprawdź do czego odnoszą się dowiązania "SONY_WALKMAN" 
w /dev/disk/by-id/ (ls -l -b /dev/disk/by-id). 
A po sprawdzeniu zamontuj.

Walkman, który pełnił również rolę pendriva, padł (chyba uwalona elektronika) 
ale próbuje odzyskać z niego pliki, a właściwie w jakikolwiek sposób dostać się 
do niego.
