Sistema de instalação da Debian com seleção de múltiplos idiomas
Senhores: O language-chooser começou a ser testado no sistema de instalação oficial da Debian GNU/Linux e espero que seja incluido definitivamente na versão 2.2.19 dos boot-floppies. Criei os discos de instalação aqui e as coisas funcionaram muito bem, exceto pela tradução de caracteres do idioma portugues e a falta de acentos de linguas nativas. Já estou em contato com o criador do language-chooser para corrigir isso o mais breve possível. Se tudo correr bem, ele será integrado na Potato-r2 e automáticamente estará incluido na Woody. Tenho acompanhado o excelente trabalho do Gleydson junto ao Adam di Carlo para trazer os boot-floppies para o portugues e parabenizo-o por colaborar e muito para isso. Problema de cotas de impressão
Prezados Senhores Estive tentando visualizar como implementar um sitema de impressão que me possibilisse registrar quantas cópias cada usuário fez por um determinado período e tempo , e , adicionalmente , que possíbilitasse inclusive barrar impressões de usuários se uma determinada quantidade de quota fosse atingida. Alguém já teve este tipo de experiência ao implementar isto com o GNU/DEBIAN ? -- Fernando Fraga e Silva Engeneering Student from University of São Paulo

Olá Fernando, Na Rede Linux do Instituto de Matemática e Estatística da USP foi implementado isso em cima da Debian. Sou amigo de todos os administradores lá e acompanhei um pouco as dificuldades. Eu sei que eles implementaram isso conversando com a impressora, que aceitava um protocolo (não me recordo o nome) para fornecer algumas informações, inclusive o número de folhas impressas. Talvez fosse interessante você enviar um email para eles ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) perguntando mais ou menos a idéia que eles seguiram.
