Sim ocorre... O que acontece eh o seguinte: O driver da nvidia, funciona por algum motivo q desconheco (alguem poderia explicar melhor o motivo) em conjunto com um modulo do kernel. Vamos SUPOR, SUPOR!!! que seja um modulo reescrito de dri. Assim, qd vc instala o driver da nvidia, ele tb compila um modulo especifico para o seu kernel q estah usando no momento. Ele usa varias informacoes do seu kernel q estao em /usr/src/linux-headers-x.x.x por ex. Qd vc muda de kernel, essas informacoes alem de nao serem mais validas para o modulo que o programa de instalacao compilou para o outro kernel (anterior), o modulo nem mesmo estah no diretorio de modulos do seu kernel atual Portanto se faz necessario reinstalar, ou simplesmente recompilar o modulo dri (no nosso exemplo) para o kernel atual e coloca-lo no lugar correto. Eh isso que acontece qd vc manda reinstalar o driver novamente. Espero ter ajudado. Please make sure that the kernel module and all NVIDIA driver components have the same version. Jah nos da ideia do q estah rolando ... Vc tentou reinstalar o driver da nvidia ? Provavelmente qd vc tentar reinstalar ele deve recompilar o modulo do kernel com a nova versao. Preste atencao pra ver se nao da nenhum erro na hora que ele for compilar.
