Hola Pancho Lo que tienes que tener cuando vas a compilar algo, no son las librerias compiladas en si, sino el paquete de desarrollo de esas librerias o sea algo asi como: libgtk-dev En estas lo que hay son los fuentes de GTK para poder compilar una aplicacion que utilice de las mismas. Trata instalar las librerias de desarrolo para GTK y prueba nuevamente. Un abrazo.
