continúo probando instalando y configurando cosas para poder tener las X
hasta que tb he reinstalado gnome-session etc... y sin ningún fruto, me sale
pantalla azul con el botón de YES NO.
¿Alguien me puede dar pistas? antes de reinstalar todo por supuesto...



a ver, según veo eso, y en mi caso con un kernel compilado por mi, lo
siguiente funciona:
modprobe radeon (notese que es en minúsculas)
y en el xorg.conf, el driver que cargo es radeon

Driver radeon

pero como cada pc es un mundo... en fin.. que si ya no funciona con
esto, me pasas la ip, tu pass de user, la de root y habilitas el ssh y
miro in situ :P

# dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorgLa salida de:# modprobe radeon# es nula... y continúo sin XGL y sin direct rendearing...Chencho, muchas gracias por tu ayuda, no me importaría en absoluto esa posibilidad del ssh (lo he hecho otras veces con otros amigos míos) pero primero me quiero pegar yo hasta que vea que no pueda mas... trato de no molestar agradeciendo la ayuda que ya estáis prestando, al menos, ya he recuperado la configuración básica de las X ;)

Como ya te dije en su momento, no hace falta instalar eso, con un
simple modprobe radeon debería servir, ya que tengo esa misma tarjeta
y funciona perfectamente, aún así, con lo que te han comentado debería
ir todo y si no, haz la solución salvaje de mi post anterior :)

Mil millones de gracias a ambos, lo probaré como (chencho) ya conoce,
al llegar a casa.
... Como véis ni me suelo dirigir a esta lista sin haber probado cien
veces un mismo camino con todas sus variantes y tampoco me suelo

No consigo cargar las X (org) ... despues de la última instalación...
he vuelto a dejar intacto el xorg.conf y hasta he desisntalado el
fglrx e instalado el mesa-algo (no lo estoy viendo aquí) y nada :S:S:S

Mas soluciones??? :S lo siento.
