No, el comentario lo he puesto yo desde que instale el linux, por el tema que te comente mas arriba sobre el NT Loader Quien inicia el arranque es este, no lilo. Son las complicaciones que me da el tio Bill... ;-P Siempre que tuve que recompilar el kernel, use la receta que describi en el primer correo y nunca he tenido problemas... Esto me esta sucediendo ahora que quise instalar un nuevo kernel el 2.4.27... Evidentemente algo me toco de la configuracion o del lilo, o de no se que cosa, que cuando el lilo se inicia y empieza a descomprimir el kernel, rebootea mi sistema, y de vuelta a empezar Un saludo y suerte. Pues bien despues de compilar el 2.4.27 unas cuantas veces y obtener el mismo resultado, me baje las fuentes del 2.6.8. Asi que compile este y no tuve ningun problema Asi que calculo habra sido algun error en las fuentes del 2.4.27 o algo asi En cuanto al 'compact' lo comente, y no vario demasiado las prestaciones...seguia rebooteando... Hola a todos: Les cuento que comente la imagen del kernel nuevo en el lilo.conf y pude bootear la maquina con el kernel anterior sin problemas. Asi que me late que no es tema del lilo sino del kernel nuevo compilado. Ahora bien, que es lo que puede estar jodiendo en el kernel nuevo ? El menuconfig esta casi igual que el anterior... La unica opcion que me queda es recompilar nuevamente ...? El tema es que a pesar de utilizar la misma receta, algo anduvo mal. Al rebootear se inicia el lilo, pero al intentar el mismo iniciar el kernel se rebootea nuevamente. Y ahi queda. No hay forma de que se inicie el linux si no es con un disco booteable que tengo por ahi... Agrege unas lineas al lilo.conf para que reconozca los dos kernels, pero nadaque puede estar fallando ? Algun problema con el lilo ? (es la ultima version para sarge, ya que actualice el sistema ayer...) O problemas con la complilacion del kernel ? Por favor si alguien me tira una idea de que es estare agradecido. Mientras tanto sigo googleando...
