hace unos días estoy tratando de poner a funcionar una tarjeta
Technologies Inc R200 BB [Radeon All in Wonder 8500DV]
Uso Debian squeeze
Logré correr el ati-driver-installer-8.38.6-x86.x86_64.run y generó 4
paquetes .deb y con dpkg los instalé.
Despues de haber generado corremos esto
depmod -a
aticonfig --initial
pero cuando ejecuto glxinfo |grep renderme devuelve

Cuál puede ser el problema???
por otro lado he tratado de convertir e instalar los 2 ficheros el libre y
no libre de ATI y no he podido.
fglrx64_4_3_0-8.28.8-1.x86_64.rpm y fglrx64_6_8_0-8.28.8-1.x86_64.rpm
Buenas.
Prueba a instalarlo siguiendo este link [1] o este otro [2]. Con
respecto a que no has podido convertir e instalar los dos ficheros
libres. necesitamos mas datos. Supongo que usarias alien y que este
lo haria bien, a la hora de instalarlo te dijo algun error?. Aunk te
pregunte esto, lo suyo es que sigas el metodo [1].

Esto lo haces como root? lo mismo es que root no puede usar el entorno
grafico.
