Bug#86458: mod_gzip v 1.3.19.1a available.

2001-03-14 Thread pehasys

I just wanted to point out (even though apache in Debian hasn't been updated
for quite while) that there is newer version of mod_gzip available.

From http://www.RemoteCommunications.com/apache/mod_gzip/ :

mod_gzip v 1.3.19.1a - 03/08/01 that can compress both STATIC and DYNAMIC
output for both external CGI and 'mod_' Apache module output is now
available.

Other features include better SSI (Server Side Include) compression support,
complete Location, Directory and Virtual Host support, and new 'Dechunking'
option which can now compress responses that are already being generated
using Transfer-encoding.

Apparently, it has been updated to the latest version of Apache, v1.3.19.

Other change in the changes.txt file:

Bug#75696: gnu-pop3d - how is it going?

2001-03-14 Thread pehasys

So, how is the packaging going? I would also like to point out the patch
that is available on http://www.reedmedia.net/projects/virtualmail/ which
fixes some bugs and enhances gnu-pop3d by virtual domains. I've patched and
compiled it myself using older, 0.9 patch and I've been using it quite
successfully for almost 4 months. I haven't found any useful pop3d in Debian
so I've looked around and found this gnu-pop3d and its patch which services
me quite well.

SGMLtools-Lite is the sucessor of the now-obsolete SGMLtools project and
consists of the easy-to-use front-end, a large number of processing backends,
and some custom stylesheets.

Scripts are written in python, and they transform SGML DocBook source code
to various formats, including PDF, PostScript, DVI, HTML, and RTF.

The official web site is http://www.sgmltools.org/

This will replace the sgmltools-2 Debian package which was given by Adam
to me several days ago.

Bug#76264: Lopster ITP still valid?

2001-03-14 Thread Carlos Laviola
Hey Colin,

I'd like to know from you if you're still working on Lopster. If not, please
let me know, because I'm also interested in packaging it. Since it seems to me
like an easy-to-build package - upstream even supplies .deb's - I'd like to
upload this as soon as I get my account. I'll wait a week or so before taking
this to debian-devel/debian-wnpp, ok?
