Bug#78680: Adopting cocoon?
Ola, You expressed your interest to adopt cocoon in December. Are you still interested? -- Martin Michlmayr [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Bug#68199: saml - intent to adopt
Adrian You need a package ready when you want to do packaging in Adrian Debian. But you can: - find a sponsor by asking for Adrian sponsorship at debian-mentors or [1]. - present the package Adrian to your AM without having a sponsor Not what I meant - I meant the new requirement that somebody vouches for me to even join NM. Since I hate begging, I do need to have a sponsored package beforehand. Maybe here can be seen one of the side effects of that decision. Adrian You stated more than two months ago that you want to adopt Adrian saml. When you say yourself that you aren't working on it and Adrian that you won't work on it in the near future then please Adrian retitle the bug back from ITA to O to give other people Adrian that might be more interested in adopting this package the Adrian chance to adopt it. OK, I will decide what do to about this within a few days. I did that ITA partly because I do use this package and it was in acute danger of being removed (as you know, it was even made an example of on devel, by yourself?) -- Ian Zimmerman, Oakland, California, U.S.A. EngSoc adopts market economy: cheap is wasteful, efficient is expensive.

Bug#90959: ITP: ocaml-tools
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist I intend to build a package ocaml-tools that unites several small tools for programmers working with the ocaml language. This proposal grew out of a discussion on the debian-ocaml-maint mailing list. For a start, the package will contain - tuareg: an alternative emacs mode for editing ocaml code http://www-rocq.inria.fr/~acohen/tuareg/ GPL - OcamlMakefile : a makefile template for ocaml projects http://miss.wu-wien.ac.at/~mottl/home/ocaml_sources.html#toc4 LGPL - configure.in and Makefile.in for ocaml programs http://www.lri.fr/~filliatr/software.en.html LGPL Furthermore I'd like to add, provided the authors issues an acceptable licence (for the moment there is no licence): - ocamldot: generates dependency graphs for ocaml programs http://www.research.att.com/~trevor/ocamldot/ This would be compiled as ocaml bytecode such that the package is architecture-independent. -Ralf. --

Bug#81614: Update, what the delay is.
On Sat, 24 Feb 2001, Josh Huber wrote: In case anyone is wondering where the Kimberlite package is, the cause for its delay is the inclusion of the raw command in util-linux. Debian's kernel package (v2.2) was never patched with rawio support, but now that libc6 is being built with 2.4 kernel headers the raw command can be built in util-linux. This of course still requires that you use a patched 2.2 kernel or a 2.4 kernel, but it makes the userland issues much easier to deal with. (i.e. no installing non-stock debian versions of util-linux, etc.) it will be uploaded as soon as util-linux has the raw command. util-linux_2.11b-1 (waiting in incoming) includes the raw command. cu Adrian (util-linux maintainer) -- Nicht weil die Dinge schwierig sind wagen wir sie nicht, sondern weil wir sie nicht wagen sind sie schwierig.

Please note that it is a TEST package and the version will not be incremented for the final release. (The only non-potato box I have is a chroot, so this is barely tested yet.) - Upstream agreed with me that the semantics of the -E option (whether to exit if the exclude file is not specified/found) should change, and supplied me a patch from the CVS. I want to avoid changing this option between releases, but this makes my package inconsistent with the published version. It *is* documented as the new usage, but does anyone think that this is a particularly bad idea? - License is BSD, except that it diffs with the license in /usr/share/common-licenses/BSD: C U T H E R E diff bsd /usr/share/common-licenses/BSD=20 0a1 Copyright (c) The Regents of the University of California. 11,12c12,14 3. It prevents the common problem of users attempting to run a program multiple times by giving the user indication that the program is loading. This is especially useful for large programs such as Mozilla. Bug#90978: ITP: pgn-extract -- chess game extractor
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist I intend to package `extract'. This is a program to extract selected games from a collection of chess games in PGN format. There are several ways to specify the criteria on which to extract: textual move sequences, the position reached after a sequence of moves, information in the tag fields, and material balance in the ending. I believe `extract' is better called `pgn-extract'; in my opinion, the name `extract' is much too general for this program. It would also surprise me very much if the name `extract' doesn't conflict with anything else. (*) (Pgn-)Extract is written by David Barnes [EMAIL PROTECTED] and is released under the GPL. It is available from http://www.cs.ukc.ac.uk/people/staff/djb/ Peter van Rossum (*) I recall there exists a list of all possible files installed by Debian-packages, but I don't know where. Can anyone tell me where to look for it? -- Peter van Rossum, Department of Mathematics, University of Nijmegen, Toernooiveld 1, 6525 ED Nijmegen, The Netherlands, Phone: +31-24-3652997, E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
