Bug#105290: ITP: xmms-goodnight -- plugin that stops xmms playing at a given time

2001-07-14 Thread David Spreen
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

I packaged xmms-goodnight. If there's nothing against uploading it in a
few days, I'll do it.

This plugin for xmms stops playing the music at a given time. Before it stops
it fades the volume down. It can also turn your computer off.

It can be downloaded from http://fiktiv.szgtikol.kando.hu/~folti/src

It's licensed under the GPL.

best regards,

David Spreen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Bug#105263: ITP: genext2fs -- ext2 filesystem generator for embedded systems

2001-07-14 Thread David Kimdon
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

I want if for debian-installer, maybe boot-floppies, is it already included in
something? My searching turned up nothing so far.

http://freshmeat.net/redir/genext2fs/3173/url_tgz/genext2fs-1.3.tgz

// ext2 filesystem generator for embedded systems
// Copyright (C) 2000 Xavier Bestel <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
//
// This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or
// modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License
// as published by the Free Software Foundation; version
// 2 of the License.

// `genext2fs' is a mean to generate an ext2 filesystem
// as a normal (non-root) user. It doesn't require you to mount
// the image file to copy files on it. It doesn't even require
// you to be the superuser to make device nodes.
//
// Warning ! `genext2fs' has been designed for embedded
// systems. As such, it will generate a filesystem for single-user
// usage: all files/directories/etc... will belong to UID/GID 0
//
// Example usage:
//
// # genext2fs -b 1440 -d srcdir /dev/fd0
//
// All files in the srcdir directory will be written to /dev/fd0 as
// a new ext2 filesystem image. You can then mount the floppy as
// usual.
//
// # genext2fs -b 1024 -d builddir -f devices.txt flashdisk.img
//
// This one would build a filesystem from all the files in builddir,
// then would read a devices list and make apropriate nodes. The
// format for the device list is:
//
// drwx/dev
// crw-10,190  /dev/lcd
// brw-1,0 /dev/ram0
//
// This device list builds the /dev directory, a character device
// node /dev/lcd (major 10, minor 190) and a block device node
// /dev/ram0 (major 1, minor 0)

Bug#105247: ITP: swatch -- log file viewer with regexp matching, highlighting, and hooks

2001-07-14 Thread Rene Weber
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

From the manpage:
   Swatch is designed to monitor system activity. In order for Swatch to
   be useful, it requires a configuration file which contains pattern(s)
   to look for and action(s) to perform when each pattern is found.

These actions can include displaying the line in different colours, with
various attributes (reverse video, underlining, etc), or executing arbitrary
programs. It uses perl regular expressions to match lines, which makes it
particularly powerful and intuitive for people already familiar with perl
regular expressions.

BroadCast - a video editing soft suite

2001-07-14 Thread ---- ------
I found a GPL'd package called Broadcast written by
the same people who wrote xmovie. It is a
mpeg/mov/mp3 editor for linux and it supports video
capture through video for linux drivers and other
nifty things. I thought somebody might be interested
in maintaining this prog as a package. It's the only
open source program of it's kind or calliber that I've
seen and it's incredibly useful for anyone who would
want to mix and match, cut and paste, and perform
other editing operations on either mp3 music or video.
 You can add sound to video for that really cool
lipsync effect :)

the link is
http://heroinewarrior.com/bcast2000.php3

Thanks for listening, hope to see it in the distro.
