Bug#122373: ITP: ruby-eserver - Generic multi-threaded e-service server in Ruby
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Package name: ruby-eserver Homepage: http://fairfax2.laser.net/~jsmall/rubycorner.html Description: A generic, multi-threaded e-service server in Ruby. Includes a simplistic HttpEchoServer.rb to demonstrate how to write your own server. License: Ruby's Ruby's License: Ruby is copyrighted free software by Yukihiro Matsumoto [EMAIL PROTECTED]. You can redistribute it and/or modify it under either the terms of the GPL (see COPYING file), or the conditions below: 1. You may make and give away verbatim copies of the source form of the software without restriction, provided that you duplicate all of the original copyright notices and associated disclaimers. 2. You may modify your copy of the software in any way, provided that you do at least ONE of the following: a) place your modifications in the Public Domain or otherwise make them Freely Available, such as by posting said modifications to Usenet or an equivalent medium, or by allowing the author to include your modifications in the software. b) use the modified software only within your corporation or organization. c) rename any non-standard executables so the names do not conflict with standard executables, which must also be provided. d) make other distribution arrangements with the author. 3. You may distribute the software in object code or executable form, provided that you do at least ONE of the following: a) distribute the executables and library files of the software, together with instructions (in the manual page or equivalent) on where to get the original distribution. b) accompany the distribution with the machine-readable source of the software. c) give non-standard executables non-standard names, with instructions on where to get the original software distribution. d) make other distribution arrangements with the author. 4. You may modify and include the part of the software into any other software (possibly commercial). But some files in the distribution are not written by the author, so that they are not under this terms. They are gc.c(partly), utils.c(partly), regex.[ch], fnmatch.[ch], glob.c, st.[ch] and some files under the ./missing directory. See each file for the copying condition. 5. Bug#122387: ITP: apt-show-versions - Lists availlable package versions with
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist apt-show-versions parses the dpkg status file and the APT lists for the installed and availlable package versions and distribution and shows upgrade options within the specific distribution of the selected package. This is really usefull if you have a mixed stable/testing environment and want to list all packages which are from testing and can be upgraded in testing. This is a perl script I wrote. You can have a look at it at: http://www.uni-mainz.de/~martin/apt-show-versions Christoph

Bug#80147: ITP: gsmssend -- GNOME/GTK user interface for SmsSend
Followup-For: Bug #80147 Package: wnpp Version: N/A; reported 2001-12-05 I have already finished packaging gsmssend_1.7 for Debian GNU/Linux for my new mainter's application. This package depends upon skyutils1 and skyutils-dev (1.15 for both) which was pending distribution on http://incoming.debian.org at the time of writing this. Name: GNOME SmsSend Author: Eric Lassauge [EMAIL PROTECTED] URL:http://lassauge.free.fr/smssend/en_gsmssend.htm License:GNU Public License (v2) Description: GNOME SmsSend is a user interface to SmsSend, a tool which allows you to send short messages to any GSM mobile through their provider's web site. . GNOME SmsSend will detect each provider's respective script file from SmsSend's preference directory or its global defaults and create a tab in its user interface for each one. GNOME SmsSend will then fork or execute smssend with the proper options to send the SMS message you input into it. . It also provides a link to SmsSend's homepage where you can download the required script (if available) for your GSM provider if it is not already provided with the SmsSend package. Bug#97234: Debian Packaging of Subversion

Berkeley db 3.3 - a bug has been filed (http::/bugs.debian.org/109853) I have been building with the preliminary packages on people.debian.org/~dwhedon/debian/. db3 is priority: required and is therefore frozen for the woody release. with 5 days to go until everything which depends on it is locked down, i'm less than keen on touching it. FWIW, the db3.3-3.3.11 packages at people.debian.org/~dwhedon/debian/ were put together so that they can co-exist with the current db3 packages in much the same way that the db2 packages can co-exist with the db3 pacakges. With that in mind it isn't a question of touching db3, rather the question is do we add db3.3 packages to the archive. I understand if you don't want to do that. Subversion will make its way into Debian shortly after these dependancies. With this mail I am poking the respective maintainers to see where we stand. No subversion for woody. I'll get db 3.3 sorted out once woody is out of the way. I see where you are coming from. I would, however, like to make subversion available soon if possible. I can just leave the packages on people.debian.org, though there has been some discussion of moving them to experimental. -David

It has a graphical user interface and it supports both quantum- mechanics (semi-empirical) models and molecular mechanics models. Geometry optimization, molecular dynamics and a large set of visualization tools using OpenGL are currently available. . Ghemical relies on external code to provide the quantum-mechanical calculations. Semi-empirical methods MNDO, MINDO/3, AM1 and PM3 come from the MOPAC7 package (Public Domain), and are included in the package. . The project started as a freeware molecular modelling package, but since the graphical user interface part of the package is quite advanced and clearly written (according to our own biased view, at least), the package now aims to become a common framework for molecular modelling programs generally. If nobody objects, I will upload ghemical_0.81-1 in a couple of days. The license is GPL. Download it here: http://www.seul.org/edu/packages/xletters What distinguishes it from typespeed is that it runs under X, whereas typespeed is console-based. What distinguishes it from the tuxtype is it is considerably more lightweight (i.e. pure X, non-SDL) so it works better on very low end platforms on which SDL sucks.
