Yes but auto-apt uses sudo and sometimes (even if sudo in not
available for all users), users do not whish sudo to be installed on
their systems

This is an anti virus solution aiming at being complete with engine and
actual virus recognition.

The "patternfinder" and "scannerdaemon" are Java programs, so we might
run into licence problems. I will however try to sort them out and see

openantivirus.org aims at being more than just a solution. They wish to
invite everyone working with and researching anti virus solutions to use
openantivirus.org as sort of a clearinghouse for their projects.

the modified BSD license. Mash is OSI Certified Open Source Software and is

But can Mash be used in commercial products?
The vast majority of the source code used in Mash does not have any 
restrictions on commercial use. However, a few small portions (CellB, 
Netvideo, XML Parser) may not be used commercially without the prior 
permission of the copyright holders. You should either obtain the proper 
permissions or compile without these pieces of code. See the LICENSE file

 This plugin allows you to play sid tunes within xmms. The C64 and Amiga
 tunes are usually called SID tunes.

there was some discussion on d-d about changing the boot messages
to show status without having to read everything.
well, on many machines this is not neccessary:
there already is an area of the screen which can be used for it:
when using framebuffer, the first 80 rows are not used for text display,
but only for the linux logo. that area can be used to show boot status

Description: Display boot progress using graphical icons
 This Package modifies the boot progress to show small graphics
 in the non-scrolling area of the screen (at the top, next to
 the Linux penguin).

 For this to work, it needs kernel-level framebuffer support.

This program is used to write out guitar tablature in the typical style of ASCII
tab, often found around the internet. The code is based on TkTab by Giovanni
Chierico. Many of the ideas for the alterations found here came from emacs
tablature mode by Mark R. Rubin.

Sleepycat have released version 4.0.14 of Berkeley db.  Looking it over,
it will probably require being a new package :-(.  So consider yourselves
warned.  I intend to work with Sleepycat so we don't have to create new
packages every time.
