Ah, okay. In that case, I suppose I'll hold off for now, as people
can always use the standard OSS plugin with ALSA's OSS emulation.
Meanwhile, I'll ask Zinx to send me a copy of whatever he comes up with.

Fair warning, as of about a week ago, this plugin is rather buggy. I have
asked Zinx Verituse to have a look at it, see if he can find any obvious
problems, and possibly add the plugin to the XMMS upstream at some point.
He seemed quite happy to do these things as he gets time to do them.

Sorry, I am not good at English. I am confused. Does this mean
you want to maintain xsoldier .deb? If so, I can help you.

I got a mail from the original author of xsoldier, Yuusuke HASHIMOTO
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> (he said <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> is obsolete).
Now I am the official upstream of xsoldier.

I ported xsoldier to SDL. I think xsoldier-sdl (or sdlsoldier or whatever)
and xsoldier (the X version) should be maintained by the same person.
Adrian Bridgett, please update xsoldier, or I will hijack it.

Bug#143281: RFP: scummvm -- free implementation of LucasArts S.C.U.M.M.

2002-04-23 Thread J.Brown \(Ender/Amigo\)
The GPL-offending files have been replaced by the version from the LGPL'ed
AdPlug, which has permission to use them LGPL'ed.

So there shouldn't be any other legal or DFSG issues with the software.
We're still on track to release 0.2.0 this coming weekend, hopefully. If
anyone has remaining technical issues on why this shouldn't be in Debian,
let me know now so I can fix them :)

  Description : interface to cracklib

Soon, I will be packaging my Net-LDAP-Utilities which uses
Crypt-Cracklib to ensure that new user passwords aren't easily
crackable.

Description : GNU R libraries for nonlinear regression models

This is a collection of libraries for GNU R that implement nonlinear
regression and repeated measurements models. The following libraries
 are included:
 .
rmutil - Utilities for nonlinear regression and repeated measurements
gnlm - Generalized nonlinear regression models
stable - Probability functions and generalized regression models for
   stable distributions
growth - Multivariate normal and elliptically-contoured repeated
   measurements models
repeated - Non-normal repeated measurements models
event - Event history procedures and models
ordinal - Repeated measures library for ordinal data
   (By Patrick Lindsey)
 .
More information about these libraries is available at
 http://alpha.luc.ac.be/~lucp0753/rcode.html

(Note that these packages are not in CRAN.)

Since this comes in multiple upstream tarballs, I plan to use a
similar approach to r-recommended for packaging. However, I can't
really decide on a name. Another possibility would be to have one
Debian package for each tarball, but since they appear to be versioned
together by the upstream author I'm not sure that's a good idea.

The current .deb is 859k.

GpsDrive is a car (bike, ship, plane) navigation system.
GpsDrive displays your position provided from your NMEA capable GPS
receiver on a zoomable map, the map file is autoselected depending
of the position and preferred scale. Speech output is supported if the
"festival" software is running. The maps are autoselected for best
resolution depending of your position. All Garmin GPS reveiver with a
serial output should be usable, also other GPS receiver which supports
NMEA protocol.

I'm currently applying the last touches to the sources of the build
environment. Hopefully, they can be released this or next week.

The sources will be released under the terms of the GNU Lesser General
Public Licence.

Version: N/A; reported 2002-04-22
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: mplayer
  Version : 0.90
* URL : http://www.mplayerhq.hu
* License : GPL
Description : Movie player for Linux

MPlayer is a movie player for Linux. It plays most MPEG, VOB, AVI,
VIVO, ASF/WMV, QT/MOV, FLI, NuppelVideo, yuv4mpeg, FILM, RoQ, and some
RealMedia files, supported by many native, XAnim, and Win32 DLL codecs.
You can watch VideoCD, SVCD, DVD, 3ivx, FLI, and even DivX movies too
(and you don't need the avifile library at all!). The another big
feature of mplayer is the wide range of supported output drivers. It
works with X11, Xv, DGA, OpenGL, SVGAlib, fbdev, AAlib, but you can use
SDL (and this way all drivers of SDL), VESA (on every VESA compatible
card, even without X!), and some lowlevel card-specific drivers (for
Matrox, 3Dfx and Radeon) too! Most of them supports software or hardware
scaling, so you can enjoy movies in fullscreen. MPlayer supports
displaying through some hardware MPEG decoder boards, such as the DVB
and DXR3/Hollywood+ ! And what about the nice big antialiased shaded
subtitles (9 supported types!!!) with european/ISO 8859-1,2 (hungarian,
english, czech, etc), cyrillic, korean fonts, and OSD.

MPlayer wasn't included in Debian because of its license, but now it's
under GPL (see http://www.mplayerhq.hu).

Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

Hi,

This package isn't a whole lot of work but I'm not very interested in
it anymore. I do want the package to stay in Debian, maybe there is
someone who would have more time for it?

I really like the idea of the game, flying around and saving people in
distress. However I don't actually play any games so I'm not the best
person to be maintaining this package.

At present there is a new release critical bug that I haven't been
able to reproduce. They look like they aren't searchandrescue's fault
but rather a problem with the openGL libraries.

-David
